Candlewood Suites Miami Exec Airport - Kendall by IHG

My family has been at this extended stay hotel due to home renovations in progress at our house. We have had tremendous support from all of the staff. Housekeeper Barbara provided me the opportunity to practice and improve my Spanish language during our daily encounters.

The rooms are set up for extended stays with a full kitchen and everything needed to cook and eat. Unlike many hotel rooms, there is more than one chair to roll up to the table, and there’s still enough room to keep your laptop set up. They don’t have any food service onsite, but if you ask at the desk, they have a free breakfast option at a nearby property.

The front desk was super welcoming, I like her! She’s very informative. I love that the hotel has a lending closet and customer pantry. I am also a big fan of the Dove soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the room. I am really loving the studio-style suite as well as the complementary crib. I look forward to staying here again!

WE STAYED IN THIS HOTEL WHILE OUR HOME WAS UNDER REMODELING AND WE WERE VERY PLEASED SINCE WE WALKED IN THE DOOR. THEY WERE VERY PLEASANT AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, THEY WOULD TRY TO HELP THE CUSTOMER. WE LOVED THE CUPBOARD STORE IDEA. IT WAS SO CONVENIENT ON THE DAYS THAT I COULD NOT STEP OUT TO GET FOOD. AND SUPPLIES. THE BEST THING IN THIS HOTEL WAS THE FREE WASHER AND DRYER!! THEY ARE EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING TOWARDS PETS AND THEY EVEN HAVE AN AREA IN THE BACK IN THE HOTEL FOR THEM. THE ROOMS ARE VERY SPACIOUS AND THE BED IS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE.THE KITCHEN HAS THE BASICS SO THAT YOU CAN AT LEAST COOK ON A STOVE AND MICROWAVE YOUR FOOD. THEY HAD ENOUGH PARKING THAT WE DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY. WE FELT LIKE IT WAS A APARTMENT RATHER THAN A HOTEL. IT FELT LIKE HOME AWAY FROM HOME. WE WILL BE BACK IF WE EVER NEED IT ! Nicely setup. We had a double queen room with a kitchenette with full size fridge and a bathroom with a roll-in shower. Everything was very clean, the kitchenette was nicely equipped for cooking and eating and even cleanup with a dishwasher. They even have a lending cupboard at the front desk for items you might need that other guest left behind (you can check them out). They have free laundry facilities which is wonderful, although not all machines were working and many times, regardless of time off day, they were in full use by other guest. The gym is very nice, and super clean. We didn't visit the pool as it was unseasonably cold. But it looked clean. They have a food cupboard - fruit, tea, & coffee are complimentary but they offer a variety of snacks, and food for purchase. They provide laundry detergent for purchase but include a small bottle of dish liquid and dishwasher tablets in your room for the dishwasher. They also included Dove shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and hand wash in your room. First services were always pleasant and helpful but they didn't all speak English so sometimes there's a language barrier. We requested a shower chair for the shower and they gladly brought one to the room.

I truly enjoyed my stay. Although I encountered a few issues, Luis, the manager, was exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to assist me throughout my visit. All of the employees were warm, welcoming, and eager to help, including Joseline, who checked us in with a smile. While the hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast, it provides a wide variety of snacks and beverages for purchase in its store, including an impressive selection of alcoholic drinks. My only concerns were that the rooms felt somewhat outdated, and in the morning we were awakened by housekeepers loudly arguing in Spanish in the hallway around 8 a.m. As a diamond elite IHG member, this was surprising and not something I have ever experienced before. Management may want to address this, as it does not reflect well on the property. Overall, despite these issues, I would still recommend staying here.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I loved that I was able to bring my precious puppy along. I had a studio room, set up like an apartment. The kitchen has dishes, pots, a fridge with ice maker. The room was clean and very spacious. The bathroom is very big! Didn't get to enjoy the pool or gym due to medical reasons. I'll definitely be sure to dip in the pool and run a mile or 2 on the treadmill there on my next visit, because I'll definitely be returning!!!

We stayed here about 5 1/2 years ago. There is some wear and tear since then, but it's minimal. Our room was clean, stocked & tidy and the staff very nice and accommodating. The laundry area was clean and available as was the gym. A nice addition was available wine & packaged cocktail options at the front desk. The magnetic signs were cute and also new and stuck to the door frame. The hotel was the best thing about our whole termite tenting. PS - my cat loved to hide in the skinny space between the bed frame and the wall - could you please look into closing that off? Thanks,
